WILMINGTON, N.C. - Are you ready for a night out to remember? Celebrating over two decades as a multi-Grammy Award winning icon in the world of folk music, Ani DiFranco headlines her Spirit of Love Tour Sunday, May 3rd, 2026 here in Wilmington, N.C. with shows at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, 1525 Carolina Beach Road in Wilmington, N.C. in conjunction with Starlight Concerts. This event will take place on May 3rd, with gates opening approximately 5pm and the show beginning approximately 6pm as Ani DiFranco, a pioneering force in independent music, joins forces with roots and folk luminary Valerie June. Ani DiFranco’s Spirit of Love Tour is her first full-scale North American tour in five years. She will be performing in Jackson, Pensacola, New Orleans, Albany, New York City, Westport, Evanston and many other cities, with the tour concluding on August 16th in Sonoma, California. Come enjoy this outdoor concert event, nestled amongst hundreds of other fans of similar folk music tastes, in an intimate, alfresco setting that is anything but ordinary.

Ani DiFranco

Since her debut album released when she was 19 years old, Ani DiFranco has become a force to be reckoned with in music. Now at the age of 40, she continues to spread her message with passion and conviction. She performs original songs as well as covers, including Both Hands, Untouchable Face, 32 Flavors, Shameless and Little Plastic Castle, to name a few. Her latest studio album, Unprecedented Sh!t (2024) further showcases her artistry. Ani has won a Grammy Award for Best Album Package for Evolve and has been nominated for four Grammys. She has also been named a Woman of Courage by the National Organization for Women. With 23 studio albums under her belt and her own record label, Righteous Babe Records, since 1990, Ani DiFranco is a true DIY music pioneer in the folk rock, alternative rock and spoken word genres.

Valerie June

You’re in for a treat with our Grammy nominated multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Valerie June. Her own brand of folk, soul, and blues will enchant and delight our audience of musicians. All ages are invited to get dancing to her fun songs such as Astral Plane, Workin’ Woman Blues, You And I, Pushin’ Against a Stone and Why The Bright Stars Glow, and many more. Valerie June’s latest album Owls, Omens and Oracles (2025) features thoughtful songwriting and her signature vocals. This three-time Americana Music Honors and Awards nominee and Grammy nominee for Best American Roots Song (2022) Blues Music Award nominee has written songs for artists such as Mavis Staples and The Blind Boys of Alabama, among others. 

Greenfield Lake Amphitheater Information

This 450 seat boutique outdoor amphitheater is located at 1941 Amphitheater Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401, situated in the 75 acre Greenfield Park with a direct view of the stunning 12 acre park lake. Audience members will be able to enjoy general admission under the stars from a truly unique perspective whether standing, sitting in lawn chairs or selecting from a variety of luxury side seat options. The venue can accommodate up to 1,400 guests and is fully ADA compliant. Concessions will be available including beer and wine as well as light snacks. Weekend noise curfew is 10 PM.
